The total fee for a comprehensive Adult ADHD Assessment is $1,512.50. With a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, eligible Medicare rebates bring your total estimated out-of-pocket cost to $1,207.85. Fees are processed phase-by-phase across your appointments.

What does the assessment process look like?

The assessment is a structured 4-phase process:

• Phase 1: Intake & Case Formulation (50 mins) — $275

  An initial session to review your questionnaires, history, and baseline goals.

• Phase 2: DIVA-5 Clinical Interview (100 mins) — $550

  A double consultation using the DIVA-5 structured interview to assess the 18 DSM-5-TR ADHD criteria across adulthood and childhood.

• Phase 3: Collateral Review & Formal Reporting (Off-session) — $412.50

  Off-session analysis cross-validating observer forms and school reports to draft your diagnostic report.

• Phase 4: Diagnostic Feedback Session (50 mins) — $275

  A final session to review your completed report, discuss recommendations, and provide your formal documentation.

Is there a Medicare rebate for ADHD assessments?

Yes. Your 50-minute clinical sessions (Phase 1 and Phase 4) attract the standard Medicare rebate of $101.55 each. You can also claim a $101.55 rebate for Phase 2 (leaving a $448.45 gap) or pay it privately to save your rebate for standard therapy sessions. Phase 3 is a non-rebatable administrative fee.
